BLITZ TORTE

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
  2. Cream butter. Add cup of sugar, and 4 egg yolks alternately.
  3. Sift flour and measure. Add baking powder, salt and sift again.
  4. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, ending with flour (use folding method).
  5. Line pan at bottom. Pour mixture into pan. Add merengue and cashew nuts on top
  6. Bake for 25 mins, or until done.

MERENGUE

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Put beaten merengue on top of egg yolk mixture. Top with chopped cashew.

CUSTARD FILLING

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Cook until mixture thickens.
  2. Fill middle layer of cake.
