Ingredients (makes 3-4 doz cookies):


  1. Cream sugar and shortening
  2. Add well-beaten eggs and vanilla extract; blend thoroughly
  3. Combine rolled oats, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well
  4. Drop by tsp 2-3 inches apart onto greased baking sheet
  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 370 deg F for about 10 mins
  6. Remove from pan at once to prevent breaking.
