What do "Lutong Bahay" host and Ang4 member Pinky Marquez, Jaka Investment Corporation CEO Katrina Ponce-Enrile and former rock singer and the Ambivalent Crowd soloist Mae Cendaña have in common? They were once members of the St. Paul College of Manila High School Glee Club. All three girls are also members of the homecoming organizing committees of their batches and all three will perform at the SPCM General Alumnae Homecoming set on Jan. 30 to be held at the SPCM grounds.
Pinky, Katrina, Mae and the other glee club alumnae will sing together with the members of Ateneo High School Glee Clubs of 1972 to 1975 at the homecoming show entitled "Coming Home 2000" at the Fleur-de-Lis Auditorium. The SPCM-Ateneo joint concerts in the ‘70s have produced now popular and respected names in the art and business world like Choy Cojuangco, Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, Joselito Pascual, Jun Latonio and Roger Chua. Aside from the glee clubs, the show will also focus on the traditions Paulinians have grown up with like the Cavalcade, the Songfest, the Fellowship, Cheer Competition and the Assembly.
Another highlight is a special documentary and tribute to the Silver Jubilarians prepared by action star, Roi Vinzon. It will showcase the event and stage direction will be done by Ruby Jubilarian, Helen Dabao.
While the show is open to everybody, all Paulinian alumnae are encouraged to attend the whole day affair sponsored by the Paulinian Alumnae Association of Manila, which will start at 8:30 a.m. For more information on the homecoming activities, call the SPCM alumnae office at tel. 523-4259 and 524-5687, loc. 299 or visit Batch ‘75’s award-winning website athttp://www.homestead.com/spcmhs1975.
